The
National Aviation Museum - Ottawa, Canada
 Over
the years, the company has undertaken many challenging and unusual
projects. A good example of this is the National Aviation Museum
roof repair project completed in the winter months of 1994 and in
2001 a complete re-roofing project was completed. The work involved
the removal of 30 skylights, installation of new steel decking and
restoring the PVC roof system. What made the work particularly challenging
was the fact that full interior protection had to be suspended from
the underside of the roof deck. This was required to protect the
irreplaceable aviation exhibits from possible damage. To permit
continuous operation of the museum during the day, all interior
work had to be done at night. |

 Union
Station - Via rail - Ottawa, Canada
The two-phase Via rail project was also an interesting undertaking.
Phase 1 of the project was the complete replacement of the main
terminal roof and installation of new skylights. Phase 2 consisted
of the complete removal of the existing roofing and syporex deck
panels of the loading platform roofs. New structural steel and decking
complete with a modified bituminous membrane completed the job.
During the course of the 90,000 square-foot project, scheduling
of the work was critical due to the arrival and departures of the
passenger trains.
"They couldn't very well shut down the station while work progressed,"
says Georges. In order not to disrupt the ongoing operations of
the station, all demolition and materials deliveries had to be synchronized
with the train arrival and departure schedule.
